This is the first time this has ever happened. Had a 14" cake in the oven and jarred the shelf. The cake fell in the middle. Is this going to ruin it? Will it just be denser?

It should be ok you just won't have the same height. You'll have to give it a good leveling. Also make sure you let it cook long enough.

Doesn't it make you crazy when that kind of stuff happens!

Thanks for the reply. When I leveled it off, it came to the exact level of the sunken middle. It worked out good. Then this a.m., I put the top of a torted cake back on wrong and it made it very unlevel. When I tried to take it off, the cake broke. Jeez. Now I have to go home and make another one. What's really sad is I'm making this one for free. It is my wedding present to her.
