Has anyone heard of these? I saw a show on Food Net (I think) where one of the guest was baking Choc filled Tennessee tea cookies. I can't find a recipe for these. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Was that the show Road Tasted, with the Deen boys?
If it was, here is the website of the company that made them. I saw it also and thought they sounded so good!

I'm going to have to do a search later.
Well, I found this
TENNESSEE T-CAKES (COPYCAT)
4 oz butter
1 1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 oz (1 cup plus 2 tablespoons) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line mini muffin pan with mini muffin paper liners.
Heat the butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat stirring until the sugar has dissolved; cook 1 minute more. Set the pan aside to cool for 10 minutes.
Stir the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla into the cooled mixture. Add the flour and salt, stirring just to blend. Portion the batter into the paper lined muffin cups filling about 3/4 full.
Bake about 15 minutes until the set but not dry.
These were very close in my opinion, you could also try adding the caramel flavoring with the vanilla.
Thanks everyone. I may try that recipe but I thought they had a choc filling. Does anyone remember what kind & how they added the choc. I
should have paid more attention.
they poked a hole in the cake and piped in some ganache
this recipe looks like what they did on the show
thank you
I can't wait to try these they looked so good
You all are mind readers!
I saw the show, and a fan of tea anything, and thought that I should make some. I didn't go onto Food Network, I thought they wouldn't release the recipe....So glad I clicked this thread. Thanks a lot everyone!
A shop near me makes these Honey Tea Cake. It's soooo yummy, then they drizzel this yummy white glaze and add sliced almonds. I've always wanted their recipe since I was a little girl.....maybe this one will taste similar, I'm excited to try. Thanks, sorry for the story.
