Okay, I usually charge $25 for a half sheet cake. I have a baptism cake I'm doing this weekend, which is going to be a cross made out of the 1/2 sheet. Should I charge the same amount of money?

No, I'd charge more, because you will be doing more work to create the cross.

EDited to say: I'm with the others, $25 is giving your cakes away! I too charge a lot morre for a cake that size (starting at $60, but then I scratch bake and live in Europe = expensive!)

I'll charge the same.
No offense but I think your prices are really low. I normally charge $50 for a 1/2 sheet cake.

Kellykake-I looked at your album. I think you are selling yourself short. $25.00 for a half-sheet? You're worth more than that! I'm with nenufares... you should sell your 1/2 sheets for at least $50.00. But that's just my humble opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

my base is $50 for a 1/4 sheet. you have to consider your time as well as the cost of the ingredients.
