Can someone give me a recipe for a really dark chocolate rolled fondant recipe? The ones I have seen seem to come out kind of light brown, and I'm trying to do a dark chocolate on a purse.
Thanks so much!

Also, can anyone tell me if they have ever frozen the chocolate syrup frosting recipe? Does it rewhip up for use later? Or is that one that needs to be made and used fresh?
Thanks again!

I've had the same problem in the past getting a really dark brown chocolate fondant. I ended up just adding brown food coloring. But, if you can get the Herseys Special Dark cocoa powder it is very dark. Or you can look on the net for black cocoa powder. It is the stuff used in Oreo's. I know King Arthur Flour sells it.

These are highly alkalized (Dutch-process) cocoa powders, with almost no chocolate flavor, used primarily for their color. So if you want the chocolate flavor use them in combination with your regular cocoa powder.

I don't have a recipe, but the chocolate satin ice is pretty dark, and it tastes really good. I don't know if you have a source to buy from, just thought I would throw that idea out to you.

I just looked, mine is Deco Pac, Dark Choclate satin ice, and it is very dark. If you have a WalMart around they could probably sell you some. I know the Wal Marts around here carry DecoPac supplies.
