Im very new to this site but already had a handful of requests for my gumpaste recipe.
You wanted it... here it is!!! Just kidding. Its probably not so different from all the other recipees out there but I think its the manner in which you do it. Here we go.

1 lb 10X confectioners sugar - roughly 4 cups
1 Tbsp Tylose
4 Tbsp hot-just boiling-water
1 Tbsp hydrogenated vegetable shortening
1 Tbsp glucose

1. sift 1 cup sugar with tylose in stand mixer and mix well.
2. Add glucose to the water. Water must be very hot.
3. Add your wet ingred to your dry ingred in mixer.
4. In 1 cup increments add 2 cups sugar only until it begins to harden up and makes a paste.
5. Lightly grease your work surface and sprinkle with sugar. Transfer your paste to work surface.
6. Knead paste slowly working in remaining sugar until soft and pliable. It is considered ready when paste does not stick to your hands or table. Not all the sugar necessarily has to be used.
7. Place in plastic bag to keep from drying out. Paste can be used right away but is best if left to sit in bag for 24 hrs.

Hope this recipe works for you as well as it works for me.

Thank you so much for sharing! Now I am just wondering what kind of fondant you use? You mentioned mixing your fondant with the gumpaste in a 3/1 ratio...Do you make your own fondant too or use pre-made? Thanks again!
