I tried a receipt last night for cream cheese icing, it called for marshmallow cream 3lbs of power sugar, shortening, ceam cheese, and flavor. The icing is good however it is the sweetest stuff i've ever eaten. I would not be able to eat a whole piece of cake iced with it, and I love sweet. I already tried adding salt, still too sweet. Can someone please help me, what can I add to cut the sweetness.

Thanks,
Katy

Almond extract? It makes buttercream taste better.
