I have been looking for some great recipes for wedding cake flavors. I typically use Duncan Hines cake mixes and would love some ideas for doctoring the mixes to get some really great flavors. I found a few on this site (which I am totally addicted to, by the way) but was wondering if some of you experts had some suggestions or a place for me to reference.

Thanks for all your help. I have learned so much in the short time I started reading these topics. You guys are my heroes!!!!

If you like coconut, get the DH coconut cake, add a box of coconut cream instant pudding, an extra egg, and I used Coconut Cream ( Coco Lopez) in place of some of the liquid. I use milk instead of the water called for on the box.

I would suggest the cake mix doctor book. I had it for over a year before I started to use it and Have tried a few things out of their now and like almost all of them (not all flavors i care for)

If you can check it out from the library first to make sure it is something you want would proabaly be better.

For a simple doctor mix I just add one egg and a box of pudding (instant, powder form only) To the mix with all ingredients on the box. Duncan Hines Vanilla cake with cheesecake jello mix is the one I get the most compliments on.
