Can you make this recipe without the sour cream or yogurt? Or is there another subsitute. I am making a cake today and don't have sour cream or yogurt and can not get out to the store.
Thank you.

I've only done it with the sour cream so I don't have an answer for you but here's a bump!

If I don't have yogurt on hand this is the recipe I use. I found it in an old post. Can't remeber who it belongs to. Works great.
In addition to your ingredients that cake mix calls for add the following:
1c flour
1/2c sugar
1 tsp vanilla (I use almond often)
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/2c water
