Has anyone tried the Orange Dreamsicle Cake from the CMD? What type of filling/frosting did you use? I was thinking of pairing this cake with a vanilla frosting, but am still searching for a good recipe. Thanks!

HI Mamakau!!! I've never had the orange dreamsicle cake from CMD...but I think the vanilla frosting to go with sounds delish!!!

I've got this one saved and been meaning to give it a try...it sounds wonderful.

I just made this for a party yesterday and it was great! I did find though that after refridgerating it the flavor came out more.

I just used my regular vanilla buttercream as a filling b/c it was a carved cake. To get a little more flavor in there I flavored my MMF with an orange oil. You could flavor your buttercream with the orange flavoring.

Chocolate always seems to go good wtih orange (well most people think so, I don't care for it)
