Hi there!

I have booked my first wedding cake!!! icon_surprised.gificon_lol.gif Yayyyyy!!!!

The bride has chosen 'Full Bloom Beauty' as can be seen on pg. 25 and 82 of the Wilton Tiered Cakes book. The bride has chosen to go with 14", 10" and 6" tiers, covered in ivory fondant with sand coloured ribbons around each tier. The roses will be gumpaste.

Here is the same cake done by MsFarmFresh:

She is looking to feed 130 people for dessert so the above chosen tiers should yeild about approx. 116 servings.

What do recommend as a quote for this?

THanks in advance!

I would charge $3.50 per serving. Are you making the roses?? If so, I'd probably charge $3.75 per serving and include the roses.

Yep, I agree with peg818 - $450-$500, those gumpaste roses are going to take you a long time! If I were using fresh roses (like the original cake), then I'd charge around $375-$400.

Thanks everyone!

Actually I will be purchasing the gumpaste roses already coloured ivory so that will save a heck of a lot of time! I'm no Sylvia Weinstock!

What would you ladies recommend charging for this cake? It is to serve 140 people and I'm making tiers 12 10 8 6 of yellow cake filled with strawberry mousse and covering it with fondant.
