How many use this? What is it made of? When I watched a couple of cake shows on the Food Network I saw alot of them use this. They said it keeps the cake moist. Is that true and how do you make it?

Hey I used one just last night. There are a couple ways to do it, but I use equal parts water and sugar ( ie... 1/2 cup water/ 1/2 cup Sugar) and then a teaspoon or two of flavoring. Last night I was doing a peach wedding cake. I didn't think the flavor was "peachy" enough so I made the syrup and added 2 teas. of peach schnaps.
