Those who have a store front, I have a question. I only bake as a hobby right now, but I am researching, and trying to come up with a business plan. I am curious if you sell other foods other than decorated cakes to supplement your income. If you do sell other foods, what are they?

I don't have a storefront, but would probably sell some cookies, muffins, maybe a few breads. I would make sure there woyuld be things to catch the kids eyes. One bakery here gives every child a free cookie when they come in, and let me tell you, my boys KNOW that place when we pass! I would probably sell some cookie press type cookies with sugar sprinkles by the pound also.

I sell breakfast sandwiches, muffins, cookies, cakes, cheesecakes, coffee & sandwiches for lunch. I also have a pop machine & sell bottled water.

I just had to start selling donuts because thats what everyone was wanting for breakfast...I don't make them though...I buy them & then resell them.

It all depends on what your customers like. I will tell you that the coffee is a big source of my income everyday...I sell brewed coffee plus the lattes, cappuccinos, etc.

Absolutely nothing. icon_biggrin.gif Our store front exists only as a place to meet with brides for consultations and a place to bake & decorate. We typically don't even unlock the doors during the week unless we have someone coming in.
