HI everyone,

Im going to be making a chocolate cake that is 'iced' with dark chocolate ganache. I want to fill it with something Raspberry! I looked at the CC recipe section and there wasn't too much for Raspberry filling. Anyone have any yummy suggestions that would off-set all the chocolate in this cake? I know i can always do a raspberry puree or jam filling but I was looking for something a little more decadent!

Thanks for any help you can offer!!

I made a 2 die 4 raspberry curd filling for a cake, got the recipe from epicurious.com. I used frozen berries for mine, and it was unbelieveable. This particular recipe mixed the curd with whipped cream to fill a cake, but you don't have to do that. Just spread the curd on your layers and go!

found the recipe, try this link...

good luck!

I have a recipe for triple berry curd from Cooking Light that is wonderful and you'd never know it was "light". You could use just raspberries in it instead of the comination of berries. If you'd like it I can email it to you.

Sorry if I sound a little dumb..but what is 'curd'? I've heard of lemon curd before...is it basically the same thing?

You know I don't know why they call it "curd", it kinda sound gross. From what I can tell most curds contain butter. Too much for my taste, that's why I like this recipe as it only has 2 TBS of butter versus a whole stick like some recipes have.

I don't really know why it's called curd. It is basically the same thing, only using a different fruit.
