Hello,

I tried my first bct tonight. I did Hello Kitty, a very simple design, and when I tried to put it on my cake the outline pulled away from the design.
I used Wal-Mart fudge icing for the outline. The other parts of the design looked really good. I let it set in the freezer two hours before I tried to put it on the cake. Could I have had the outline too thick or was it the icing I used? icon_sad.gif

maybe it was the type of icing you used. for black you can try those already colored tube icings. they do work for the bct i tried hope this helps.

okay, i made the same mistake last week!!! then i read a post about btc again, and realized that you are supposed to put a layer of frosting on top of your btc to kinda seal it in......i havent tried that yet, had enough cake in the house at the moment, haha
