I think those are two flavors that wont do well with each other....I just think both have two totally different and strong flavors....

Just my opinion though.....

good luck in finding the right one!! thumbs_up.gificon_biggrin.gifthumbs_up.gif

I've never tried it, but pumpkin and orange don't sound good to me. However, if you throw some cinnamon and brown sugar in there to temper the orange, it might be good.

I like fronklowes idea but i don't think the caramel filling sounds good with it at all. The pumpkin/orange with cream cheese sounds like plenty of flavors to not need the caramel. If you do make it though, let us know how it turned out. You never know till you try it.

I personnaly think this sounds great together!!
Just make sure the caramel filling is not too strong.
I love to do at least three different flavors- I barely make a cake with two different flavors.!

Good luck and let us know how it turned out

I think that might work actually. Pumpkin is sort of a middle tone flavor and the high notes typically come from cinnamon and/or nutmeg, but orange might work as the spice in this case, orange being a bit mellower than say lemon or lime. There is nothing like trying it to find out, then you will have your answer for sure.

I personally don't like orange in my pumpkin...but then again I am a pumpkin enthusiast. The cream cheese and caramel though, definitely! How about pumpkin and mini chocolate chips? The Ralph's markets out here make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that are SO GOOD...they are like eating little cakes...
