i saw a good eats episode last night where he made BC. he used 4 eggs, yolks and whites, and added a sugar syrup and butter pieces, similar to an IMBC. has anyone ever tried it, and does it taste yummy? i like the idea of being able to use the whole eggs, instead of having a tone of leftover yolks, but am a little skeptical since its so different from any bc recipe i've ever seen.

I've not tried his recipe, but I've read posts from others who have, who did not have good luck with it at all. I don't see how it could work, as the yolks would prevent the whites from forming the lovely airy meringue. It looks to me like it would just taste like a sweet stick of butter, which is yucky!
