the ones that look like an open picnic basket, how do you do the lid? What is it made of?

I did not make a picnic basket, but I made a fishing creel with a lid. You can look at it in my photos. I made mine out of a styrofoam sheet and used dowels to push into the styrofoam and then into the cake to get the angle I wanted. HTH

When I made mine I used Chocolate the same size as the cake pan and scored in the middle so that both sides were open. I then iced the chocolate to match the icing on the cake.

I made mine out of a half cake circle covered with buttercream and propped up with a lollipop stick.
