Hi, I just froze cakes for the first time last weekend. I made 12 cakes that needed to be frozen since they were all due the same day. I first cooled the cakes for at least 1 hour, then brushed a simple syrup over them. I then covered them in plastic wrap twice, then foil twice. I took them out of the freezer the morning I was going to decorate them when I got home from work in the afternoon.
