Anyone have any suggestions? I tried making these last night, maybe it was the hour but I finally gave up. I get them made just fine it's that they were so 'floppy' and wouldn't hold their shape that I kept starting over. After a half dozen I thought -- forget it - I'm going to bed and try again tomorrow. (It was getting really late.) In thinking about it this morning I probably rolled my circle into the oval much to thin, thus it had no structure after that, nothing to help it stand up and hold shape.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate them. Sorry I don't have any photos as I sort of mashed them all... Thanks!

Sweet peas look more realistic if the larger petals on the back fall backwards. Also make sure you are bringing the bottom of the oval petal around and pinching in the front just under the little oval ball center. Then I just dry them with the wire stuck in some foam. I hope this makes sense. I made them for the 80th birthday cake in my photos.
