Hi all

I threw out (doh!) the insert in my 16" round pan (3"deep). Does anybody know how many cups of batter this pan takes?

Thanks!

Since I happen to have one of my wilton books sitting here...
a 16" x 3" needs 18 cups of batter.

One of my books says to fill the pan with water and then dump it out into a measuring cup (or cups) and then divide that in half. This would be especially helpful for shaped and character pans.

So you don't have to worry about keeping track of all those inserts, I keep this page of wilton.com bookmarked for easy reference. At the bottom it has links to charts for 2" and 3" pans for wedding and party size servings. In all these charts it has the batter needed for each pan, and the suggest amount of frosting, cooking time... etc.

I have tried printing them off numerous time to have in the kitchen, but they seem to dissapear often, someday I will find about a 100 copies hiding under the fridge LOL.
