Hi all. Newbie alert. icon_smile.gif

I'm making a cake for a birthday party for a coworker's son. The party isn't until Saturday, but she wants me to bring her the cake on Wednesday because she'll be busy the days until then and I might not be able to get in touch with her then.

The cake is going to be frosted with buttercream in various colors (#16 star tip decorated all over).

I plan to make the cake Tues. evening so I can give to her Wed. morning. How should I tell her to store the cake? If it gets put in the fridge, will the colors bleed due to condensation? Will is still be good by Saturday?

Thanks so much!

Well I have never had colors bleed. But if that is the only issue; add a tiny bit of meringue powder to you icing; this is supposed to prevent colors from bleeding onto each other and makes it easier to work with. I don't do it; but many others do.
