I want to try and make a teapot cake in the near future. From what I have read on CC it says to use a pound/dense cake.

Does anyone has a good recipe for a chocolate pound cake (using a box mix as a starting point if possible).

Can I use a doctored cake mix (pudding and extra egg) instead of a pound cake?

I am going to using the sports ball pan for this cake.

Thanks

I always use the extra egg and sub in milk for water to the box mix. Have no problems with carved cakes and tastes great.
