Need Suggestions About Cake And Icing Flavors

I am making a three tiered cake. The bottom layer will be chocolate, the middle will be yellow, and the top will be marble.
I need to decide on an icing flavor. I don't want to use different flavors. I need it to be able to stand out for up to 5 hours. I need it to be able to hold fondant decorations well. Most of all, I need it to taste good!! I don't like most buttercream icing, they taste too sweet and just taste like pure sugar to me. I love cream cheese frosting, but I don't think that will stand up well for what I need. I tried adding some white chocolate candy melts to some bc icing I had, and for some reason, it did not work.
ANy suggestions?? What kind of bc should I use and how can I flavor it well?

This is the recipe for a buttercream made with flour. The flour really cuts that cloyingly sweet sensation.

jbmommy,
I just made a 4 tiered cake with the crusting cream cheese recipe this weekend- with white chocolate seashells on the sides- it held up pretty well, in fact some of the shells are still on the little leftovers of the big tier I have, so not sure how big your fondant decorations are, but it's a thought.
I love the White as Snow Buttercream recipe from this site. If you need help finding it, let me know. It has lots of extracts, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to cut the sweet. It crusts very well and is a breeze for piping. It will hold up I think to any decorating treatment.
