Hello, I am new to this forum, so you may only get part of this message. Last night I made a five tiered waterfall. I used piping gel for the water that cascaded from the top tier to the bottom. When I finished adding the rest of design on my cake, I noticed that the piping gel was literally sliding off of the cake. Lucky for me, most people didn't notice. Is there something I should have done differently? Any help would be great. Thanks.
You could add some piping gel to a little buttercream and then color it. This might give you the water look but with more sability
Or maybe som extra geletin to help firm it up? I'm not sure that woudl work since it might throw the chemical balance than makes the gel thick ,but smooth off ,but it could help. Maybe you could color the buttercream to make it look like the foam you see on the waterfalls.
