I just made a big batch of the marshmallow fondant!!! An it tastes super....the only thing is it is still kind of plyable more than the Wilton fondant. Does it stiffen up as it sits or do I need to knead in more powdered sugar? Reminds me of an Easter Peep....yummy!

It does stiffen up a little, but it should not be "gooey"....you should be able to roll it out w/o it falling apart. HTH!

yes, it does when you let it rest a bit..........I would wait a little bit before adding more sugar........you don't want it to get too dry....just wrap it up really well......maybe even grease the outside of the ball of it a little......wrap it up tightly with plastic wrap, then throw it in a container with a lid........it should be good when you pull it out again

sarahboo- I used the MMF reciepe that is on here.

16oz. of marshmallows
2 Tbs. of water
2 lbs. of confectioners sugar

Melt the marshmallows in micro or stovetop with the water. Once the marshmallows are melted mix them into half of the powdered sugar. Once it is sticky, mix the rest of the powdered sugar into it. It will be a little soft and seem like it isn't what it should be. But after people telling me not to touch it till the next day. I busted it out to play and it was perfect!!!! Works just like the expensive Wilton stuff, but I made about "15 bucks worth of Wilton style fondant" for less than 2.50 in the MMF and it works better than the Wilton in my opinion. Now my only problem is that it tastes too good and I keep wanting to taste it during the project. ha ha...Hope this helps you!

I just made my first small batch of MMF on Fri. and everyone thought it tasted really good. Now I can't wait to make a big batch and use it on a cake.
