Great share . Thanks for the wonderful directions on those cakes . Very impressive .
thanks so much, i just did my first hatbox cake and I used four pieces of 6" cake board buttercreamed together then covered in white chocolate, it turned out okay, just not great...........thanks again for the tip will try that next time, seems way easier and more "foodie"
Awesome instructions--thanks! I'm also confused by the gumpaste/fondant thing though. Sounds like the bottom of the lid is GP and the sides and top are fondant? Am I getting this right? Does this help minimize the weight or something? Thanks!
Your cake is beautiful! I'm amazed at all the talent so many of you have. Cake decorating is a hobby I've recently given a try, but I'm not even close to having your abilities.
thank you soo much for the tip i have often wondered how the lid went on ..............great tip thanks again x
Thank you for sharing, quick question how would you stack a cake with an open lid like that, like this picture
Hasn't anyone tried it with Rice Krispie Treats rather than Styrofoam?
It would be nearly as light weight, and it would be edible. It could be decorated the same.
Oh dang it, I just don't have enough time to try out all the fabulous adorable delightful things that I'm seeing on CC. I've got a list a mile long of things to try.
LOL MBalaska - I was just thinking the exact same thing! There are so many cakes I want to try that my list is also a mile long :) I.Just.Want.To.Do.Them.All!!!!!
Hi fairytale, thank you so much for sharing! But how do you keep the lid from sliding back?
