I have a cake due tomorrow and they have flowers on top f cake mainly dasies. I know not to stick stems directly in cake do to possible chemicals transfer from flower to cake. But can I just set them on top and not have any issues. Thanks in advance
My first choice would be to use flower spikes. If they are not available then you could insert a straw into the cake, wrap the stems with saran and then insert that into the straw. I wouldn't lay the flowers directly on the cake at all.....you could use a piece of saran to separate the flowers from touching the cake.
