are you using buttercream?

My cakes are always ready the night before...that way, after sitting all night..I can see if anything needs fixed or anything else....get my drift??

What kinds of decorating are you doing to it?

As long as it's a crusting bc, it will be fine left out

I would have had it at least crumbcoated yesterday, if not already iced. But I would definitely decorate it today, that way if you run into any problems, you have time to fix it. I usually store mine in cake boxes, or a box I had to make depending on how big it is. I don't usually use filling that needs to be refrigerated, so that's not a problem for me.

I'm not sure really, just the powdered sugar, butter, crisco, milk and flavoring.

There are some other recipes for bc that don't crust much, and I'm thinknig they're in the recipe section, but i don't use them , so I don't know right off the top of my head.

Good luck, if you go searching for them!
