Please help ............ I am looking for a good sugar cookie recipe. I would like to make cookies for my daughters party and every recipe that I try just flops! I want a cookie that holds it shape ........... like the cookies make for the Cookie Bouquets. Also, a recipe for the icing.

I love the no-fail sugar cookies from the recipe section on this site.........tastes great!!!!! i pop the whole cookie sheet into the freezer after cutting with cookie cutters for about 10 min. or so and they hold their shape beautifully! Antonia74's royal icing recipe on here is also really good........very easy to work with and tastes great on those cookies. Royal Icing for decorated cookies is what the recipe is under.........I'll see if I can find them for you.

Here are some of my cookies I've done with these two recipes.......you can see how beautiful and glossy the icing is and it was really easy to work with, great consistency.

Beautiful cookies! I wish I could stop baking cakes long enough to do some cookies. Just so much to learn, I feel as if every cake is a learning experience. Thanks for sharing.

thank you so much, I'm with you.......cakes are what I love!!!!!!! However, after making these for Valentine's Day.....they were really the first decorated cookies I have ever made.......it seems like everyone wants cookies from me too now! Oh well, the cookies are fun too!!
