So my FBCT is complete! Now I've got another question though....can I put it on to the cake while it's still frozen? The cake is covered in pink buttercream as well. Also, it won't be needed until dinner time (it's 5 am right now), could I refrigerate the cake with the FBCT on it? Thanks for your help!

You HAVE to put it on the cake when the transfer is frozen or else it will stick to the paper and you'll have a mess on your hands. You can always refrigerate a transfer once it's on the cake- it might slow down the heat up which would also mean it would keep it from gathering too much condensation which causes some problems with black leaching for some people (though I've never had this happen).

When you put it on your cake while it's still frozen (tranfer, not cake) make sure you have a thin layer of FRESHLY laid buttercream for it to adhere to, otherwise it could slide off. When it has come to room temperature is when I usually touch up the sides and add borders.

If you find your FBCT has some worming, once it comes to room temperature and crusts, you can use the melvira method (high density foam roller) to smooth out any remaining worming marks.... THEN add borders and such.

Good luck!
