I got a catalogue in the mail today and found several interesting things in it. It features mail order chocolate eggs in real egg shells (just like the ones in Martha Stewart's Living April issue) at 4 for $19, 36 petit fours for $45, and best of all, two cakes. The cakes offered are a 5" square present box ($69) and an 8" diameter x 3" high bonnet ($89). They serve 6-8.

It's pretty but i don';t think its worth 90 dollars!! MYABE 50 at most, especially since it only served 5-6.

Those are Sam Godfrey's cakes from Perfect Endings in Napa, CA. He did Oprah's 50th bday cake, too. BTW, according to the website, they are looking for experienced help.

OMG, I just read the small print on the shipping page: $14.95 for EACH perishable item! To top it off, you must allow one additional week for Perhishable-Item Delivery! icon_surprised.gif

What kind of fool would pay over $100 for a cake to feed 6 icon_eek.gif --'cause I'd like to meet those kind of people any day! I'd think for that kind of money they might appreciate a few flowers.....

Oh, well.......
