Hi All! Im working on my dd birthday party and she would love to have a chocolate fountain there; my question is, should I buy a cheap one just for her or should I make an investment and buy a nicer on that I would be able to rent out later? Is it a hassle not worth dealing with? Any suggestions on BRANDS and ones to get would be WONDERFUL! Thanks!

I bought a really nice one at christmas for about $79.00 here in Canada. It was the Rival chocolate fountain.I have seen them everywhere and on ebay also.I used it for Christmas and New Years and it was a big hit!! Everyone enjoyed it!! I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend. You don't need to pay alot to get a fairly decent one!!

icon_biggrin.gif If you're the type who is not afraid to spend money (besides having a lot) and loves to entertain like a pro, get a "real" one ..they cost about $4,000.00.....

Very nice for huge parties. icon_smile.gif

I have even seen them recently at a few of the grocery stores around here, at a rather reasonable price - I think $30 or maybe $40. thumbs_up.gif

$4,000 seems a bit steep. icon_surprised.gif

However, if you are looking for something more reasonable, then I suggest bed bath and beyond. They have about 4 of them, and they all work great, but vary in size and style. Plus, I think you could use a 20% off coupon on them.

Good luck!!

I have the Sephora Elite fountain. I think I paid about 250.00-300.00 for it. Works great.

I just saw one at Wal-mart tonight. It was with their seasonal sno-kone machine and iced tea makers. It was $39.99 and it was all stainless steel. About 18" tall and one piece. It was Nostalgia brand I believe.

I considered it but have to way to justify it right now. Someday!
