I placed an order last week and it says it was at the Washington post office since the 9th. I was wondering if anyone else has ordered, how long did it take for your order to come in? I am in the DFW area. I know it says it takes 4-7 days but I need to make a cake Saturday and if it's not going to be here then I need to get Americolor somewhere else.

Thanks,
Cecilia

I ordered from CC, and somehow it got lost or something, took 10 or 11 days I think. Jackie was tracking it, and the PO had no explanation for the delay. Janice

I ordered the Americolors the first time they were in (I was one of the lucky ones) before the rush. I received my order within 5 days even with all the other orders pouring in. I was really surprised to get it so fast.

I think that the Cake Carousel may have a bigger selection than Cakes Amor.

I received my order in about 5 days, so I thought that was very good. BTW - I'm in NW Houston and I know of at least 3 other CC addicts in this area! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm jealous of all you Texans. I'm in Baton Rouge Louisiana and other than the regular party stores, we don't even have a cake store that you can walk into.

I from Fort Worth.

I placed an order on Monday March 13, I was hoping it would be here by the weekend. I just checked the tracking info this morning, Friday. Here is what it said

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on March 14, 2006 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

My guess is that I won't have it till next week. ouch.gif

Oh well, I guess I should plan better in the future. Gives me a reason to go to the cake store. icon_biggrin.gif Elizabeths Cakes is closest to me. Small place, but they have a decent selection of Amricolor.

I went to the shop in Sugarland today and was surprised it was so small! WOW! Lots of stuff there but I think I like Make-A-Cake better. Gotta go get a "fix" next week! LOL! icon_rolleyes.gif

that is a generic message that is created when we print the postage. They don't usually scan the packages at our post office, so usually the tracking information never gets updated until they actually deliver it.

Well I went to Cake Carousel in Richardson to buy the Americolors I needed on Friday. Of course as luck would have it, the post office says it tried to deliver it to me on Friday morning. Although at the time they say they came, I was still here. But I guess I will get them today.

Also an FYI, Cake Carousel now does edible images. Either starting at $10.00 or for $10.00 I forgot.

Thanks,
Cecilia

I prefer Make-a-Cake than the one in sugarland. I went to the one in sugarland 2 weeks ago, then went to make a cake last week, and everthing i bought 2 weeks ago in sugarland was more expensive than make a cake. Bummer, but oh well.
