Hi everyone:

I would like to ask these questions: Is it okay to mix any kind of filling with buttercream filling? Are there some fillings that absolutely cannot be mixed with buttercream filling?
Thanks
Tina

I would start with the type of buttercream you're using. Some are more stable than others.

My favorite is to mix in lemon curd, but that should be pretty obvious. : )

We did a wedding cake this past weekend and mixed a sleeve-type pineapple filling with the buttercream - it was WONDERFUL!
