Canon is usually one of the better brands to purchase. I got mine through Amazon and then ordered the edible ink cartridges through KopyKakes.

all the research I have done on this subject.....most places that sell the ink and so forth tell you to have a cannon...so that is what I would get if I were fortunate enough to purchase the whole set up for printing

I just bought the Canon ip 1500 from Kopykake. I know it isn't the best available but I have done some practice runs with it and it seems to do a great job!

Right now Frye's is giving away a free Canon - not sure which one - when you purchase a flat screen. I was going to get a Flat Screen this weekend cause I want one and figured the free printer is a bonus. I already have a Canon for my edible images. If it's the same one I currently have, I may put up for sale. I'll let you all know.

I have the ip1500, and I couldn't be happier with it. I've got two round images on my photos done with it. Disregard the doggie pictures. They were done on wafer paper, which makes a much less nice image.

Canon PIXMA iP1500 Photo Printer
Is this the model you all like? I see Amazon.com has it for about $125. Is that a good price?
What do I look under to find the edible sheets that you print on? What are they called... yes, I'm that clueless! icon_cry.gif

I just searched for "edible ink" on Yahoo or Google and found a whole bunch of websites that sold the ink and the paper. Most of them only sell for Canon printers. It has to do with the print heads, I think.
