Faux Stems Through Cake Look?
Decorating By dolcesunshine20 Updated 9 Mar 2006 , 2:21pm by dolcesunshine20
Hey everyone! I'm wondering if anyone here knows how to create those cakes that look like there are stems separating one tier from the next. The examples I've seen use calla lilys, but I would like to create one using tulips. Any advice would be most welcome!!!!!
Thank you!!
I don't know how they do that, but I would certainly like to know also. There was a discussion earlier about those cakes, and they also gave some links to view some, and I've got to say that they are so BEAUTIFUL. It just looks real! Or is it? I don't know, but I'll keep a watch on this topic.
Hey dolcesunshine, your birthday is coming up- are you wanting to make a cake for yourself? Happy Birthday anyway!
lol, as it so happens, my birthday is coming up, but the cake is for my best friend's bridal shower. =)
Thanks for the support! I"m going to try a center construction. I'll post a picture after I finish this weekend.
