I just saw this cake last night and saved it to my files thinking it could easily be switched to a manly cake. icon_smile.gif It's from Sugar Creations (sugarcreations.com). Take off the flowers and toss on some tools and there you go!

CHOCOLATE!

Men love chocolate -- even more than women -- they just don't admit it!

Do all your borders, design, writing in chocolate. Then, you don't have to worry about colors, or it being "man" enough.

Anything choc!
I love the cakemix doctor turtle cake, drizzle some white and dark choc over the top and your done!

Or choc ganache with choc curls or pieces of choc. on it.

I was going to say chocolate also. The restaurant I bake for called me & said someone was coming in for a birthday party & they needed a cake fast. It was for a man & I didn't know anything about him. I did a round chocolate cake, with chocolate mocha buttercream & chocolate covered strawberries on top. I also dripped choc. down the sides. He absolutely loved it! This is one of my most requested cakes for a man.

Hope this helps

Absolutely NOTHING!! It is for someone's dad in my daughter's dance class.

They asked for my chocolate fudge cake with white buttercream--so that makes doing chocolate bc a problem.

I love the denim cake--but that looks like fondant. I can't do fondant with this cake.

Thanks for your help!

You can do the jeans in buttercream - just smooth really well and pipe on the details! Your photos are beautiful, you could do that easily!

Just in case you haven't finally decided on a design, here is another idea: a man's sweater cake. This cake is definitely inspired by Colette Peters. The knit affect on the sweater is made by piping loops of different colored buttercream. The gift box is made from royal icing. birthday.gif
