I would use daisys - it would be perfect and they are not difficult to make - if you don't want to pipe them you can use the fondant cutter cut them out of fondant and lay them in the flower formers for shape.

How utter perfect! Daisies for Daisy. That is your daughter's name, right? I think Jaxdesserts hit the nail on the head by the suggestions of Daisies icon_smile.gif

I have heard that you can bake a cake in a flower pot, then you could put your daisys in the pot. You could say something like..

My How Our Daisy has Grown
Our Little Sprout is One
You plant the seed of Love it grows into a beautiful Daisy ETC>>>

so adorable...........Love the idea of the flower pot with the "My how our daisy has grown".....that is just adorable!!!!!!! By the way if you don't wanna buy a flower former I have just cut a paper towel tube in half lengthwise creatingg two halfpipe shapes......and this works perfect for forming flowers.......line it with foil and it's reusable and cheap cheap cheap.......if you decide on a flower pot.....I have made one, and would be glad to help

Here is a pic of a cake I did for my daughter's first birthday. It was designed after her party stuff which was called Daisey Smiles. It would be very easy for you!

You can do a flowerpot and put daisy shaped cookies in it. Search the gallery with "daisy", there is a cake like that. looks cute. Instead of a plain pot, you can decorate it with her favorite characters etc icon_smile.gif

A very hapy birthday to your daughter. My son will be turning one soon icon_smile.gif
