Can you use previously frozen butter in IMBC? Every once in a while butter goes on sale and I'd like to stock up. I know butter freezes well, but I'm wondering if it changes the consistency of IMBC in anyway?

..I have used butter that was previously frozen (in my IMBC)and noticed no difference at all! The brand I use is Land o Lakes..don't know if the brand would make a difference or not!

The only thing I would suggest is to seal your butter REALLY well before freezing. One time I used 1 stick that had been frozen and the rest was fresh, the consistency was perfect and it tasted like the fridge. I ended up tossing the whole batch. icon_cry.gif After that, I triple bag my butter and all is fine. thumbs_up.gif

Shouldn't be a problem, but make sure you use un-salted... I ran short on one batch (had to use 1 stick of salted & 5 unsalted instead of all unsalted)... YECH! not at all the same, even with this small amount of salted!!!
