I just went down stairs to check on my cakes in the oven and guess what the oven was off and cooled down I had gone down 15 min eariler and put the timer back on but some how the oven went off when I set it and my cakes were not ready ooops. I put the oven back on and hoping for the best I might have to start over. Just venting.
oh man, i hate it when that happens, i think sometimes these electronic timers have a mind of their own i had mine go into oven cleaning mode once when i had a cake in the oven - not pretty
I wouldn't mind having a cake that turned itself off after a set time. Am I reading it the right way? Though I doubt I'd use the timer function for cakes, since they can sometimes be picky.
Nothing worse than thinking a cake is done, and finding a puddle of goo all over when you cut into it.
I think what happened when I checked to see if the timer went off the first time and I reset it I must have pressed cancel Its a fairly new stove. I bought myself a new whirlpool stove with a ceramic top and no elememts in side 2 yrs ago and ended up moving it didn't go in my new house so gave it to my daughter and I still trying to get use to this one. Its a little tricky to use and set the timer.
I'm back just took them out of the oven my cakes are alittle flat but haven't sunk and are cooked. I had a core in the large one and it is done. whoo!!
