Where can I get a round 4" x 2" cake pan? Do they make these? So far the smallest I've seen is a 6".

Im not sure what size it was but at walmart and micheals i have seen these really little round, square and loaf pans. They are smaller than the 6" At walmart they were with the cookware not with the cake decorating supplies. hope that helps sorry i didnt look to see the sizes though.

I found the 4" ones at Wal-mart. They are springform pans..don't know if that matters to you or not!

Uhh (sorry if this is a dumb question) can I bake a regular cake in a spring form pan?
I've never used one because I thought they were just for cheesecakes.

I don't know if the springform pans will work for a regular cake mix. They are 2 seperate pans .they spring from the sides so that you will be able to remove your cheesecake from the pan.If you do use it for that I would line the otter bottom with tin foil so that if it does leak you won't have a mess in your oven. I would try a cake supply store for the smaller pans I have a 5x2,4x2,3x2,& 2x2 that I got at a cake supply store..so they are out there but there are no more cheaper that the big ones!

They will work fine with a regular cake mix..I have used them many times!

Yeah, eBay, heh, heh, heh! I got 4 of the 5" round ones there, and I love those little pans for "sampling" or giving to someone who can't use a bigger cake! I want some small square ones too, they just had some used ones yesterday, but the bid went so high you could buy new for the price!

I got the little pans but they seem so hard to work with to get the icing smooth took longer then on a normal size cake but they are so cute

OMG, yes, it's much harder to ice the cakes from the tiny pans. I can't believe how much harder! I had to two two layers of crumb coating and it was still not coming out right. Thanks for your post on this blessBeckysbaking!

when working with little cakes, either put a little icing on the bottom of the cake so it doesnt slide or place it on a little piece of non stick pads under it. It will keep it from sliding.

If you go shopping for pans on eBay, put in Magic Line pans in the search, they make a lot of different size pans, but at the end of the auction listings there will be lots more from the eBay stores! Janice

You get the 5x2, 4x2, 3x2, 2x2, 1x2 and three gold cardboard circles. Shipping and handling charges were not too bad, and the pans got to my place in a reasonable amount of time.
