I'm just curious here, but has anyone colored a large amount of fondant using a kitchen aid and a dough hook? Do you think it would work?

I have never tried this before. Hopefully someone else will know. I always make quite a mess on my hands when coloring any amount of fondant or gumpaste! icon_smile.gif

Coloring fondant, first micowave your fondant to slightly soften 10-15 sec use crisco to grease your hands and knead in the color your hands will not be colored when your done if needed add more crisco to your hands it won't harm the fondant.

I know I probably shouldn't..but I sometimes do color fondant with the kitchen-aid and the dough hook. Especially if it's a bright or dark color I'm trying to achieve. I do soften it in the microwave first and color very small amounts at a time and them knead it all together at once so the color blends.
