You beat me! I only spent $95! icon_biggrin.gif

I'll probably go back later in the week after I figure out which tips I need more of. I bought a couple today, but didn't want to get the wrong ones.

icon_biggrin.gifparty.gifthumbs_up.gif I saw this post and I flew out the door to Hobby Lobby. Luckily or unluckily as my husband would put it I live about one minute from Hobby Lobby. All of the silver cake boards were gone. icon_mad.gificon_mad.gif I did however manage to spend $82!!!!!!! icon_smile.gif

I'll go back later in the week and hopefully they will have restocked.

You can try to get a raincheck - the lady who was stocking the aisle this morning said I could if there was anything they didn't have that I wanted . . .

You all are very lucky....I don't have Hobby Lobby in my neck of the woods or should I say desert. I live in AZ. I visited a Hobby Lobby in TX last Thanksgiving and thought "WOW". I really wished AZ had one.. icon_cry.gif

icon_surprised.gif I totally forgot about a raincheck!!! I am going back tomorrow!! My husband's friend is the assistant manager there. I will get him to hook me up after I fuss at him for not calling me about the sale! Great idea!

I have a Michaels too and they will not accept Hobby Lobby's coupons. I told them that other cities do but they did not care to hear about that. icon_mad.gif I didn't push it because I am in there all the time.

Oh, and Hobby Lobby's flyer was not in our Sunday or Monday paper either.

Also, After Hurricane Katrina, I have been having trouble finding almond extract. It is the weirdest thing. Luckily Hobby Lobby was completely stocked with it so I bought every bottle!! mwa-ha-ha

Thanks for the raincheck idea!

I went to a Michaels today and they said that they would honor Hobby Lobby's sale prices if I brought in a advertisement. Of course I was 60 miles from home and did not have an advertisement with me. Luckily I have a Michaels over here too about 15 minutes away.

Woohoo! Going there tonight!

Has anyone found the new Wilton "Tiered Cakes" book at hobby Lobby?
They didn't have it at mine!!! icon_cry.gif

bjfranco-
You must have been at a pretty lenient Michaels! I used to work there, and it is their policy that they will match competitor sale prices (reg. $5, on sale for $3) but not discounts (33% off reg. price). Also, they will not accept coupons from anyone except jo-ann fabrics and ac moore. I'd stock up while you can!! icon_wink.gif I'm trying to be good until the big Wilton tent sale, so I can be REALLY BAD there! LOL

I was surprised that they told me that! icon_eek.gif I have read other post on here that their Michaels honored Hobby Lobby's prices but the one closest to me would not. I was 60 miles away today and dropped in and thought I would ask expecting to get the typical "NO" but I was shocked to hear her say they would with a copy of the ad. I ran out the store, got into the car and drove to nearest gas station and bought a copy of the newspaper with my fingers crossed that they would have an ad in there. Big sigh, they did not. icon_cry.gif They even had a little 4" round cake pan that I wanted. It was only 3.49 but I was so upset about not finding an ad that I forgot to go back and get it!!!! icon_cry.gif

Oh wel............................
