can I use marshmallow fondant the same way as regular fondant? I am wanting to try to make a rose, but I only have marshmallow fondant I made up last night. Will it work? Thanks!

Yes it will!! I make every thing with MMF! If you want something to get harder then you can add a bit of gum-tex and it will harden right up!

Thank you cakecre8tor! Do I need to add gum tex before working with the MMF? So many questions icon_redface.gif

Yes, but be very carefull not to add too much, otherwise it goes so hard you won't be able to roll it out. However, it that happens, just put a piece of MMF into the microwave for about 10 sec and work it in. While it is warm it will roll out just fine.

Good luck.

...also, only pinch off the amount you're working with and keep the rest of the fondant covered well to prevent it drying out before you're ready to use it. The gumtex is VERY effective! Good luck!
