Hi,

I am making stamens for calla lilies and want to coat the stamen with yellow collored sugar. How do you make colored sugar?
Thanks,
Gaut

You can also buy it at the grocery store in the cake mix section. Michaels or Hobby Lobby also carry it in the Wilton section.

I put sugar in a small jar with lid added gel coloring and shook like cray. I have to do it several times to get the exact shade of color..

You can also color sugar that way with powder colors to avoid any moisture.
