I was just looking at the marshmallow fondant recipe posted on this site, and at the end of the recipe, it says "additions: 2 oz melted white chocolates" What is this for? Is it required? Does it taste that much better with it? Also, I'm making a red hat with it, or would you suggest buying pre-made red fondant?

Let me try this again, I just got booted so all that I had typed was erased!
I believe the white chocolate would be for taste without changing the consistency or color any. I used it for a lt. yellow & lt. blue with very little problems coloring, you just have to knead it more is all. For a brighter color, I can't help you there but I'm sure someone else on here can!
