I was filling my cake pan today when all of a sudden I heard this laughing.

When I looked up, my mother was having a fit laughing and pointing at my bowl. When I asked her what was she laughing at, she asked me, "how much cleaner are you going to scrape that bowl".

She then proceeded to tell me that she has noticed that everytime I make a cake or anything I try to get every little bit out.

I am quilty of this and couldn't get mad...I can clean a bowl like no one else.

I am a thrifty person and love to save a penny whenever I can.

To me, when I don't scrape good, I am throwing away money.

Just wanted to know if anyone else feels this way and try to get every little drop, crumb, etc. or am I just completely nuts?

Well... I try to scrape everything but the batter just sticks to the spoon. Then I can't get it out of the spoon. Finally, I just give up but I would love to know how you get it all scraped!

I use the large scraper with the long handle, they come in different colors

Once you break that baby in, you can go around the bowl clean as a whistle and even scrape the bottom

I use my Pampered Chef rubber spatulas and man oh man they do a good job at getting the bowl clean!!!

I scrape mine until I can scrape no more!! lol But for a little different reason than Stephanie214....While I like to save a penny where I can, as well - I scrape and scrape until it's gone so I won't EAT IT!!!

I think that I can rate you up there with Dale today.

I am not allowed to scrape the entire bowl...my kids would never let me hear the end of it!...lol...I must ALWAYS leave some for them to fight over...it's just a given!

Stephanie...I always usually scrape every drop of batter out of the bowl because I need every bit of it for all the cakes I make! But I do always think that I must do something with the extra batter because it is wasting it!!!! It seems like I end up mixing up cupcakes a lot of the time.

Hee hee... I am a big cheapskate too. I can't stand to waste. I always scrape the bowl as much as I can, then give the beaters & spatula to my kids.

I don't have any small children so I use my small tapered spatular and clean my beater clean...boy, you can get in those corners really well with it

I'm a scraper by nature also. I figure if I went to the trouble to make the batter, I may as well USE the batter. ALL of it.
