Just wondering if we could have people list the cost they are charging for a cake when they post a picture. What do you think of the idea? I just am wondering what to charge and can't seem to know where to start. So if I could have a comparision it would help me.

That's a thought...but they would also need to post where they are located. Location is an important factor...west coast vs east cost vs midwest and big city vs small city and other competition in the area, etc. There are a lot of different things to take into consideration.

You are not the first person to suggest this...I also think it is a good idea. I have PM'd some members in the past to ask what they charged or would have charged for a cake that I liked. That is one way that you can find out...I find that the members on this site are very helpful. icon_smile.gif

I like that idea.

In my area I am the only one that makes the character cakes...so far.

I try to be fair in the pricing but at times, I feel that I am not charging enough.

Thanks so much for this topic because I think it will help somewhat in our pricing.

I think so many people could benefit from this! I'm sure it has be the hardest thing we face.

I think I'd rather live in denial--I'm sure I'd be shocked by what everyone is charging, I know I'm ripping myself off.
