Hi. I am in the market for some new brushes for applying luster, pearl and petal dusts. Before I go shopping, I'd like to find out what everyone's favorites are.

What size brushes do you like best?

Is there a particular brand you like?

Where do you buy them? Art store? Online?

Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Imnot sure about brands, but I like a brush with a fine tip, and one that is very sturdy, if you can, try to buy quality brushes its better to spend a little extra money, they are so much easier to work! Cheap brushes are a pain in the butt, the bristles tend to fan out and you cant work with them!

Thank you Meghan! I hear you on the cheap brushes. I bought a set that was pretty cheap and they don't really seem to do much. You're right about the fanning out. And They shed too. thumbsdown.gif

The best brush I found (but it's too big for smaller flowers) Is one of those puffy blusher brushes. It works great but is too big for smaller flowers. Maybe I just need to get one that's similar to that only smaller.

I originallt made the mistake of buying brushes with the painted handles! Huge mistake...the paint kept chipping off. I have since bought brushes with the rubber/plastic handles.....much better. I prefer the soft bristles paint brushes.
