IF U LOOK AT MY MINNIE CAKE I USED SPRAY CANS FOR THEM

I have tried both. If you look at my valentine cake, that cake was sprayed with an airbrush. The airbush gives me more control. However, as you can see from Tinanh27's photo, the can of spray colors gives a good result without the added expense. Suggestion: practice first on paper towels or used newspapers before you try it on the cake. Hope this helps.

I don't have an airbrush either so I use the canned sprays just to add some life to the backgrounds on my cakes.

I have used both as well and the spray cans will do if you don't have an airbrush. If you want a deeper color though..you have to spray in layers like using spraypaint snd let each coat dry otherwise it will drip.

I just tried the spray colors and I love them! No smell, no funny taste.
